Dialog Red 2018 from Quinta dos Vales is ‘The Best Wine of the Algarve 2024’

“The big winner of the XVI Algarve Wine Competition was Dialog Red 2018 from producer Quinta dos Vales. The results of the competition were announced on 31 May at a ceremony held at the Pestana Vale da Pinta Clubhouse, which brought together various producers and organisations.

The 16th edition of the Algarve Wine Competition took place on 24 May at the Convento de S. José in Lagoa, with the technical direction of the competition being the responsibility of the Algarve Wine Commission, with the support of the Municipality of Lagoa.

A total of 117 Algarve wines were tasted, including excellent quality whites, rosés, and reds from 32 producers.

A total of 38 wines were awarded medals: 27 Silver medals, 10 Gold medals, and the big winner with the Grand Gold Medal.

The aim of the Algarve Wine Competition is to honour the wines bottled in the Algarve. The aim is to stimulate the production of quality wines and to promote the best wines produced in the Algarve region.
